Michael Parini

Michael Parini is Chief Legal Officer at Biogen. He joined Biogen in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of senior legal and strategic leadership experience across the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. 

Before joining Biogen, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Spur Therapeutics where he led a full company transformation, redefining the scientific strategy and advancing a rare disease program. Earlier in his career, Michael held a series of leadership roles at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, including serving as Chief Legal Officer and multiple senior roles at Pfizer including Chief Litigation Counsel.

Michael earned his B.A. in American Government and Politics from Georgetown University and J.D. from Georgetown University Law.
