Our research, development, commercial and manufacturing operations consume a considerable amount of energy. By strategically implementing more energy-efficient technologies and purchasing renewable energy credits and carbon offsets, we are able to control our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, energy use and associated costs.

One of our most significant undertakings is our company-owned cogeneration plant that provides much of the power for the buildings on our Cambridge, MA campus. Since coming online in 2006, this plant has saved tens of millions of dollars in energy costs and avoided the emission of more than 150,000 metric tons of GHGs.
